An announcement trailer for the announcement of an
announcement. It’s all so very Ubisoft isn’t it. Well, the French publisher has
done just that, announcing a reveal of the next Assassin’s Creed title, set to
take place on Tuesday, May 12th. at 5pm BST.
We’ve got a teaser image and a short trailer to go on so
far, which doesn’t give away much, as you’d expect. A previous leak outed this
year’s outing as Assassin’s
Creed Victory, set in Victorian London, but rumours are abound the name
has been changed to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.
The trailer download Ubisoft sent over was called ACS,
pointing heavily to AC: Syndicate. While not much can be gathered from the
teaser, it looks like the protagonist will get access to a new cane weapon, all
the better for strolling those Victorian streets.
Last we’d seen of Assassin’s Creed Victory / Syndicate, it
was set in Victorian London and featured a grappling hook for rapidly climbing
buildings, and combat set atop stagecoaches. We'll have all the juicy details
come Tuesday.
What are you hoping for from Assassin's Creed Syndicate?
Does the anticipated Victorian setting pique your interest?
