Mike Bithell has announced Volume, his follow-up to indie
darling Thomas Was Alone, will be coming out on August 18th for PC, PlayStation
4 and PlayStation Vita. Volume is a stealth-based action game heavily inspired
by the original Metal Gear Solid, with the player utilising noise-based
distractions to sneak past patrolling guards and auto-turrets.
Gollum voice actor Andy Serkis even gets in on the action
for Volume, voicing the arch-villain of the tale, Guy Gisborne. A brand new
trailer has also been revealed, to help while away the hours for stealth fans
until August 18th hits.
Bithell’s last game, Thomas Was Alone, proved a captivating
experience, breathing life into faceless oblongs with a neat platforming
adventure. Here’s hoping Volume can capture that very same charm when it
arrives this August.
