n-Space and Digital Extremes have revealed an extensive new
E3 101 trailer for its upcoming role-playing game Sword Coast Legends, as well
as announcing the title will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this
year.
As some of you have no doubt guessed from the name, Sword
Coast Legends is based on the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe,
and it’s a party-based RPG with a focus on the classic D&D roleplaying
experience. Key to this is the Dungeon Master Mode, which is real-time D&D,
complete with an active Dungeon Master who can create content and scenarios on
the fly for unwitting adventurers.
Aside from the Dungeon Master Mode, you can expect Sword
Coast Legends to have a pretty expansive story campaign, as well as robust
campaign creation tools for sharing scenarios and modules with other players.
If all goes to plan then Sword Coast Legends could offer a practically infinite
box of content, provided players have enough control.
Sword Coast Legends is out on September 8th for PC, with the
PS4 and Xbox One versions arriving later in the year.
