Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has
announced details of the Batman:
Arkham Knight Season Pass. Coming in at a wallet-shredding £32.99
($50), the Season Pass promises to pack in six months worth of post-launch
content.
To put that into perspective, Battlefield 4’s
Premium Pass is a little more expensive at £39.99, as is Call
of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s £34.99 Season Pass. In terms of
single-player games however, the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass is easily
the most expensive we’ve seen, and is almost double the price the base game can
be pre-ordered for over on Nuuvem at the moment.
In terms of what Batman: Arkham Knight’s Season
Pass will contain, Rocksteady will be creating new story missions, legendary
Batmobile skins, challenge maps, additional character skins, more
super-villains invading Gotham City, and even new driveable race tracks for the
Batmobile. We didn’t know there was anything like that in there to begin with,
so this is an interesting detail.
The Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass will be
available to purchase for £32.99, or included as part of the Arkham Knight
Premium Edition. That Premium Edition will set you back an eye-watering £87.98
for the complete version on PS4 and Xbox One, or £67.98 on PC.
In addition there's also the previously announced
pre-order bonus guff already detailed. Placing your money down ahead of launch
will net you a playable Harley Quinn across a series of challenge maps set in
the Blüdhaven Police Department, while the PlayStation 4 will be getting
exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare missions. Phew, it's like Watch Dogs' launch all
over again isn't it?
