Square Enix has rescheduled its E3 2015 press conference,
shifting it back to later in the day in order to avoid a clash with Nintendo.
Square Enix’s conference was originally announced last month. It’s their first
dedicated E3 presentation ever, and we’re expecting to see plenty from them in
regards to Deus Ex:
Mankind Divided,Just Cause 3,
and Rise of
the Tomb Raider, among others.
Nintendo, marching to the beat of its own drum as usual,
announced its own Nintendo Direct for the exact same time as Square Enix’s
press conference. Square Enix has now shifted it to 10am PDT / 1pm EST / 6pm
BST, on Tuesday, June 16th.
In terms of press conferences this year is set to be the
busiest yet at E3. Conference newcomers Square Enix must be pretty confident in
its wares to host its own show, which could also feature the next Hitman game, Final Fantasy XV,Kingdom Hearts
III, and an as-yet-announced JRPG. There’s certainly enough there to
warrant a conference, but it’s going to take plenty away from Sony and
Microsoft’s offerings.
